General FAQ's

We offer two undergraduate (UG) courses and one postgraduate (PG) course in collaboration with Coventry University, UK. BSc (Hons) Computing and BSc (Hons) Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity are UG courses. MSc Data Science and Computational Intelligence is the PG course.

Total credits for each UG course are 360. Each year students can study up to 120 credits.  Each year is divided further into two semesters, and in each semester, students will study 60 credits.

All UG IT courses that we currently offer are completed in three years. Each year is further divided into two semesters. Maximum number of years to complete any UG course is six years.

We are currently offering all IT courses in collaboration with Coventry University, UK. Graduates from both UG courses will have bachelor's degree equivalence with Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

Yes, a credit transfer facility is available. You can study first year at our college and study rest of the years in Australia and Canada. Additionally, we have an agreement with Australian Catholic University and La Trobe University for credit transfer.

We have diverse types of scholarship.  

Merit Based Scholarship- This post-enrolment scholarship is based on the academic performance of the student in previous semester. A student gets a certain percent off in the tuition fee for the upcoming semester.

Student Ambassador Scholarship- This post -enrolment scholarship based on student Academic, Attendance, and involvement in Course curriculum Activities and Extra Curriculum Activities.

As mentioned above, merit-based scholarship is based on the academic result of the previous year. You will have to work on your academic performance to secure the scholarship.

A candidate for the Student Ambassador scholarship is required to compete three rounds, round 1- Letter of Intent, round 2- Video Making Challenge based on the theme, and round Personal Interview Round.

A BSc (Hons) Computing at Softwarica College aims to develop proficiency in programming languages, problem-solving skills, understanding of computer systems, software development/engineering, web/mobile development, data management/analytics, cybersecurity/ethical considerations, teamwork/communication, and foster a mindset of continuous learning/professional development. These outcomes prepare graduates for careers in computing-related fields.

We practice effective learning approaches including Activity Led Learning, Student Centric Learning, and Blended teaching method. We value more in providing close to real-world experiences to our students by the design of authentic teaching materials and assessments.

The assessments are designed to closely match with typical industrial work context for the relevant module. Depending on the module, the assessment method varies. The assessment method includes Video screencast, Audio recordings, and portfolio submission.
